In addition to being an independent songwriter and performer of her own work, Julia is a professional session vocalist, vocal arranger, back up singer and performance coach.
As a songwriter and band leader in her own right, Julia is a particularly strong asset to other projects because she understands exactly what's required of a support player. She has studied a variety of instruments, music and rhythm, giving her a musical flexibility and vocabulary that makes her extremely efficient to work with.
Julia has a broad vocal and stylistic range that can be deep and full or light and crystalline. She has an excellent ear, remarkable dynamic control and can adjust her vibrato to any tempo. She sings in Italian, French and Spanish and can easily mimic the vocal stylings of many legendary artists.

REFERRALS
"Julia possesses a truly gorgeous voice. She is versatile and enthusiastic, making her the perfect choice for vocal session work. She has sung repeatedly for us on the show 30 Rock, countless times on our own independent projects, and I look forward to working with her every chance I get."
— GIANCARLO VULCANO (30 Rock, Music Editor, Music Contributor, Guitarist)
"It's been hard to work with other singers after my (many) sessions with Julia Joseph. Julia's a singer, no doubt, but even more so she's an artist. The best singers I know can give you exactly what you want– perfect pitch, great harmonies, etc, but often there's very little of what I call 'character' in their voices. Julia hits the notes and also hits you in the gut with the warmth of her voice and the personality that comes thru in her instrument. And that's just the warm-ups. If you ask her to try on a certain voice or style: Karen Carpenter, Patsy Cline or Joan Jett? Julia will take you there.
Julia has the talent, discipline and lack of ego to give you exactly what you want, but is not afraid to go out and find something unexpected. Which is another way of saying she has great ideas. What makes it all the more special is that I have never failed to laugh my ass off whenever I have worked with her. She is proof that great artists are also good people."
— PAUL HECK (Producer, Red Hot Records)
"Julia can compose your vocal parts in any style, work with you to perfect your vocal ideas, enhance your live performances–both audibly and visually– and lay it down in no time. Julia understands what vocals are supposed to be– from dead simple to impossibly complex. She makes it happen... she has a great voice and great stage presence."
— JEFF EYRICH (Producer, Bepop Records)
"Julia Joseph is a great singer who works in a wide range of styles. She's a pleasure to work with; she comes up with parts really quickly and she make your music sound better. Her super pro harmonies blend perfectly with yours to make one rich wall of sound."
— MILTON (Singer/Songwriter, Composer)
“Julia Joseph is one of the most talented and professional singers that I've had the pleasure of working with. From the stage to the studio, she does it all. She has wonderful stage presence and an uncanny ability to beautifully blend with others, with an acute sensitivity to maintaning a strong balance with the rest of the band. The care and dedication Julia demonstrates in her singing is unparalleled. Her delight in singing is our pure joy as listeners.”
— ERIC DEARMON (Singer/Songwriter)
"Julia is as lovely as her voice. Professional and fun, her contributions were creative and precisely what the songs called for. She's a versatile vocalist and can meld with any genre or style."—EMILIA DAHLIN (Singer/Songwriter)
